About Me

After living in Japan for two and a half years, I’ve recently moved back to my home town in western Washington.

Reading is my passion, and I never get tired of it. As a kid I liked Where the Wild Things Are, E. Nesbit, Ramona and Beezus, the Babysitter’s Club, and Bunnicula. We can’t all start with Hemingway, right? In general I like many more books than I dislike, but I think my favorite genre is historical fiction/mystery/thriller.

I also enjoy watching movies (Bette Davis is my favorite) and eating out with friends.

To make money, I cook pizzas.

I find books just by trawling online, for the most part. If you want me to read your book, just leave a comment anywhere on the blog and I’ll get back to you.

    Hey there,

I was wondering if you’d be interested in reading one or more adventures from my “Jason Dark: Ghost Hunter” series? It is a gothic horror dime novel series available in print and as eBooks, hearkening back to the good old days of classic horror movies, rich with atmosphere instead of gore. The adventures are typically mysteries of some kind, that follow in the mold of a Sherlock Holmes combined with Randall Garrett’s Lord D’Arcy. In addition they are filled with historical and literary references to add to the depth of the world and create interesting “what if” moments.

If you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to let me know and I will get eBook versions to you.

    All the best,
    Guido Henkel

Hi Sibel! I would love to read and review your novel. I would not mind buying it from Amazon, except I don’t own a Kindle and won’t be able to read it. If you’d like you can email it to me at archelle.b@gmail.com and I’ll start on it. Thanks!
